BABIANA

GB country flag
Babiana is the first Oyster 885GT — a yacht conceived around a fairly simple idea: take everything that makes an Oyster a serious bluewater cruising yacht, and add more pace.

The result is a 27-metre ocean-going yacht designed to cover serious miles offshore in comfort, while being lighter, more performance-focused and capable of holding her own on the racecourse. Her carbon rig, lightweight construction and race-oriented deck hardware were all developed with the same aim: more performance, without compromising the ability to go cruising.

Babiana has certainly had the opportunity to put the cruising part to the test. She completed the 2024–25 Oyster World Rally, covering around 27,000 nautical miles over 16 months and circumnavigating the globe.

And now she's getting a little more interested in the racing side. In the 2025 Oyster Palma Regatta, Babiana had a clean sweep of Class 1, winning all five races and taking the overall Class 1 title.

Her first offshore regatta is now next — which feels like a pretty good way to find out what the 885GT concept can really do when there are a few more miles between the start and finish line.
