José Juan is a Uruguayan sailor from Punta del Este with more than ten years of experience competing on the South Atlantic racing circuit. A member of the Yacht Club Punta del Este, he has sailed across a wide range of boats and classes, including J/70s, classic yachts and offshore racing boats. His international sailing experience includes the Giraglia and participation in the 2025 New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup in Newport. Passionate about offshore racing, traditional seamanship and competitive sailing, he sees the Rolex Middle Sea Race as one of the major challenges of his sailing career.
